mornin' everyone. i just woke up and was about to sit down and do some homework, and just wanted to share a few things.

i've realized lately that i'm the type of person who gets discouraged easily. like whenever the task at hand becomes too hard, i'll give up and say i can't do it without even trying. and this is when it comes to school more so than anything else. my classes have gotten really hard, and the outcome of me passing seems impossible in some of them.

but the other day, for the first time, in one of the classrooms i saw a girl with no arms. it shocked the shit outta me at first, cause i couldn't believe it. and one of the first things that came out of my mouth to my friends, as ignorant as it was, was "why is she in college?" and i asked that because i couldnt understand how she could get anything done, as far as doing homework, taking exams, projects etc.

so that same day at lunch, i told my friend about it, and during the flow of the convo she said "that just goes to show how much worse it could actually be". and it was like a lightbulb went off in my head.

so, i've decided to take the initiative to get some tutoring and whatever it takes, because i refuse to let the simple fact that a class is hard keep me from getting my grades, when the girl isn't letting the fact that she has no arms keep her from getting hers.
